What Happened Today?

Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Today was a great day.

First, I think it’s worth noting that we spent a full hour discussing topics not related to Feedblocker. Discussing topics such as how clubhouse could be a new dating platform, financing large tech start-ups, applying concepts from industrial engineering at scale, the beauty of classical movies, taking prerequisites to courses in an engineering masters program, using sit-stand desks, and chess. Needless to say, we were having a good time with our ‘opening’ conversations.

Ok, so, as for Feedbloacker, today we found that our updated extension is now up on the chrome store! Anyone can now go on the store and search for Feedblocker and our beautiful extension shows up. How lovely. We literally took a moment to celebrate that small moment because it was so nice to see our work up there with the nice logo and branding. To take things further, we think it would be nice to have a website to provide a bit more context for anyone who might be interested. So that was the next thing we worked on.

You’re not going to believe what happened next. Are you ready? No, no, I don’t think you are. Are you really? Ok, wait, be patient. I’ll tell you in a moment. Before that, we designed a rough layout of the website in four rough sections (shown in the image below). The landing view section, basically what you will see when you go to the site; the About section, to explain the purpose of the application; the how it works — that’s self-explanatory; and the footer. We also will include a section about us to make it a bit more personal. Ok, I think you’re ready for the main news.

We are excited to build our website on Feedblocker.com! We got the domain today and to get a domain with that name under $10 was a steal! We are excited to work on the content and finetune the structure for the site next week.
